The luxurious Gilmerton House is a handsome, grade A listed Georgian mansion only 30 minutes from Edinburgh city centre and 40 minutes from Edinburgh airport. It has been home to the Kinloch family for over twelve generations and is a member of Unique Venues of Edinburgh and the Historic Houses Association. The luxury private house operates as a 5 star Exclusive Use venue for all forms of special occasions, corporate hospitality and company away days.

The estate comprises 1000 acres with 100 acres of woodlands and walks. Set within the grounds are a charming courtyard ideal for barbecues and al-fresco dining, a wide terrace and stunning formal gardens. The gardens and woodlands can accommodate many outdoor activities including team building events, highland games, croquet, quad biking, clay pigeon shooting, archery and falconry experiences.

Private Dining & Accommodation
The Drawing Rooms have patios and balconies overlooking the gardens and parkland. The Music Room, steeped in Scottish history and one of the finest rooms of its age in Scotland, can accommodate up to 60 guests. Additionally, the Dining Room can cater for up to 20 diners.

The private house offers 10 luxurious bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, providing accommodation for up to 20 guests. Each bedroom features a flat screen television and tea/coffee making facilities. A full butler service and luxury breakfast are provided for overnight guests.

Gilmerton Lodge
There is a beautiful period cottage situated by the main gates to Gilmerton House. Gilmerton Lodge offers luxury self-catering accommodation and provides an excellent base for exploring the beautiful countryside, stunning coastline and many attractions the area has to offer. The lodge has been impeccably refurbished to the highest standard whilst retaining and enhancing many of the original features.

The lodge offers delightful, light filled open plan living incorporating a dining and fully equipped kitchen area with a stone flagged floor, an en-suite master bedroom, two further double bedrooms and a large family bathroom. There is a pleasant patio area which acts as the perfect sun trap, extensive gardens and plentiful parking.

The restoration of the historic kitchen garden is presently underway through a separate charitable organisation, Gilmerton House Kitchen Garden.
